Gurugram, Mar 19 (Gurgram) A delegation of the Media Council of Journalists, led by its National President Sanjay Rathi, met Pawan Jindal, the North Zone Head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, at his residence in Gurugram.
The meeting included detailed discussions of key issues, including nation-building, journalists’ welfare, and the media’s role in society.
Also present on the occasion were National Spokesperson Manoj Goyal Gudiyani and National Executive Member Anil Arya of the Media Council of Journalists.
During the interaction, Pawan Jindal stated that India is rapidly progressing on the path of development and, in the coming years, will guide the world through its rich spiritual knowledge and cultural heritage. He emphasized that the core spirit of India lies in humanity, coexistence, and global peace. He noted that citizens are actively contributing to nation-building with dedication and commitment, which is enhancing respect for India and its people at the international level. He expressed confidence that India will deliver a message of peace, prosperity, and balanced development to the world.
Highlighting the importance of media, Jindal described it as a vital pillar of democracy, playing a crucial role in nation-building. He said the media helps guide society in the right direction, fosters positive thinking, and creates awareness among the masses.
On this occasion, Sanjay Rathi elaborated on the various initiatives undertaken by the Media Council of Journalists, including campaigns aimed at safeguarding journalists’ interests and outlining future plans. He stated that the organization is consistently working to unite journalists across the country, protect their rights, and ensure their dignity.
Rathi emphasized the urgent need for the implementation of a Journalist Protection Act to ensure a free, fair, and strong media, enabling journalists to perform their duties without fear or pressure. He also stressed the need to reconstitute the Haryana Media Accreditation Committee, which has reportedly remained inactive for over 12 years. He noted that its revival would enhance transparency, grant recognition to deserving journalists, and create a more organized and healthy media environment.
Additionally, Rathi urged Pawan Jindal to facilitate the early implementation of previously announced free healthcare facilities for journalists by the Haryana government. He highlighted that journalists often work under challenging and risky conditions, making accessible and quality healthcare essential. He suggested introducing special health schemes and cashless treatment facilities for journalists and their families to ease their financial burden.

मीडिया काउंसिल ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष संजय राठी ने राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के उत्तर क्षेत्र प्रमुख पवन जिंदल से उनके गुरुग्राम स्थित निवास पर मुलाकात की। इस मुलाकात में राष्ट्र निर्माण, पत्रकारों के हितों और मीडिया की भूमिका जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। इस अवसर पर मीडिया काउंसिल ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता मनोज गोयल गुडियानिया तथा राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी सदस्य अनिल आर्य भी उपस्थित रहे। बैठक में श्री जिंदल ने कहा कि भारत तेजी से विकास के पथ पर अग्रसर है और आने वाले समय में अपनी आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान परंपरा एवं समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत के बल पर विश्व का मार्गदर्शन करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की मूल आत्मा मानवता, सहअस्तित्व और विश्व शांति में निहित है। देश के नागरिक पूर्ण समर्पण और निष्ठा के साथ राष्ट्र निर्माण में सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रहे हैं, जिसके कारण अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भारत और भारतीयों के प्रति सम्मान निरंतर बढ़ रहा है। उन्होंने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि भारत विश्व को शांति, समृद्धि और संतुलित विकास का संदेश देगा। श्री जिंदल ने कहा कि मीडिया लोकतंत्र का महत्वपूर्ण स्तंभ है और राष्ट्र निर्माण में इसकी भूमिका अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। मीडिया समाज को सही दिशा देने, सकारात्मक सोच विकसित करने तथा जनमानस को जागरूक करने का कार्य करता है।
इस अवसर पर संजय राठी ने मीडिया काउंसिल ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स द्वारा किए जा रहे विभिन्न कार्यों, पत्रकारों के हितों की रक्षा के लिए चलाए जा रहे अभियानों तथा भविष्य की योजनाओं के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि संगठन देशभर के पत्रकारों को एकजुट कर उनके अधिकारों की रक्षा और उनके सम्मान को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रहा है। श्री राठी ने कहा कि निष्पक्ष, स्वतंत्र एवं सशक्त मीडिया के लिए जर्नलिस्ट प्रोटेक्शन एक्ट का लागू होना अत्यंत आवश्यक है, ताकि पत्रकार बिना किसी भय और दबाव के अपने कर्तव्यों का निर्वहन कर सकें। उन्होंने हरियाणा मीडिया मान्यता समिति के पुनर्गठन की आवश्यकता पर भी जोर दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि यह समिति पिछले 12 वर्षों से अधिक समय से निष्क्रिय पड़ी है, जिसके कारण अनेक पत्रकार मान्यता से वंचित हैं। समिति के पुनर्गठन से पारदर्शिता बढ़ेगी, योग्य पत्रकारों को मान्यता प्राप्त होगी तथा मीडिया क्षेत्र में एक स्वस्थ और व्यवस्थित वातावरण विकसित होगा। इसके अतिरिक्त, संजय राठी ने पवन जिंदल से हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा पूर्व में घोषित पत्रकारों के लिए निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को शीघ्र लागू करने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने कहा कि पत्रकार समाज का एक महत्वपूर्ण वर्ग है, जो निरंतर जोखिम भरी परिस्थितियों में कार्य करता है, इसलिए उनके लिए बेहतर और सुलभ स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं सुनिश्चित करना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि पत्रकारों और उनके परिवारों के लिए विशेष स्वास्थ्य योजनाएं एवं कैशलेस उपचार व्यवस्था लागू की जानी चाहिए, जिससे उन्हें आर्थिक बोझ से राहत मिल सके।
