New Delhi, Jul 12, (LAB) As India advances towards its $5 trillion economic milestone, the GTT Foundation has launched a pioneering initiative aimed at harnessing the potential of youth beyond metropolitan centres. Its new programme, ‘Bridge For Bharat’, focuses on empowering students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, which house over 64% of India’s youth population.
Founded by IT industry veterans Dr. Ganesh Natarajan and Dr. Uma Ganesh, the GTT Foundation has been working since 2012 to improve employability through innovative technologies and impactful skill development content. Its latest initiative targets ‘Dragon Cities’ high-potential urban clusters often overlooked in mainstream development, and seeks to create a stronger, regionally balanced national workforce.
‘Bridge For Bharat’ offers a comprehensive one-year programme that includes skill assessments, future-ready digital and IT training with industry-recognised certifications, and a mentorship platform connecting students with professionals and industry veterans. This exposure, rarely available in these regions, is designed to transform young students into confident professionals ready to integrate with India’s fast-growing industries.
The initiative also empowers student voices by establishing funded councils to ensure their participation in local and national development discourse.
