New Delhi/Ghaziabad, July 7 (LAB): The Allahabad High Court has directed the removal of the seal affixed to a madrasa in Khoda, Ghaziabad, providing interim relief in a petition filed with legal assistance from the Association for Protection of Civil Rights.
According to APCR, the madrasa had been sealed by the Ghaziabad district administration in June 2026 during an enforcement action on the grounds that it was allegedly operating without registration. The organisation claimed that the institution had been legally established and challenged the sealing action before the High Court, alleging that the administrative action was arbitrary and unlawful.
The matter was argued before the High Court by Advocate Khalid, who represented APCR. The Court subsequently directed the authorities to remove the seal from the madrasa.
Reacting to the order, APCR said the High Court’s decision reinforces the principles of due process, fairness and the rule of law, emphasising that executive authorities must act within the framework of the law and cannot resort to arbitrary action.
The organisation welcomed the order, expressing hope that courts would continue to serve as an effective forum for protecting constitutional rights. APCR also reiterated its commitment to providing legal aid to individuals and institutions facing what it described as unlawful or arbitrary administrative action and to defending constitutional rights through legal and democratic means.
